| | Not one to forget his humble origins, Dr. Peters formed the Lenny Peters Foundation in 1993 to give back to communities that have touched him in his life journey. Through this foundation, Dr. Peters founded the Jayamatha Orphanage in Kerala, India which provides housing, food, and education to over 200 children in need. In addition, the Lenny Peters Foundation is a long-time supporter of the Piedmont Triad’s United Way campaign. Believing in philanthropy, Dr. Lenny Peters has also provided thousands of dollars of support directly to employees in need in the form of monthly gifts to aid them through financial hardship.
The Lenny Peters Foundation continues today by providing one-time charitable grants or donations to needy individuals in the Piedmont Triad or other local charitable organizations. These grants or charitable donations are awarded on a monthly basis and are meant to give a hand up, not a hand out to those in need. The Lenny Peters Foundation believes in instilling confidence and empowering those who it serves.
Dedicating his time, finances, energy and talents to so many, it comes as no surprise that Dr. Lenny Peters received a humanitarian award. Dr. Lenny Peters, received this humanitarian award from Henry Schein Inc. for his philanthropic generosity for over 20 years. Announcement of Dr. Lenny Peters being awarded this humanitarian award can be found at The Business Journal. This is an earned achievement and modest reflection for Dr. Lenny Peters work. | |
