After completing training in London, Pittsburgh, and at Wake 
  Forest University, Dr. Lenny Peters settled in High Point, NC to
  begin his career of caring.  To this end, he formed Bethany
  Medical Center, a multi-specialty medical group providing medical
  care to a diverse population of patients.

  The name Bethany as recounted in the New Testament, is the
  name of the house where Martha, Mary, and Lazarus lived.  They
  were very different types of people that were united by their love
  for Jesus.  Bethany Medical Center is also made up of different
  types of people from diverse backgrounds united in love and care
  for patients and for fellow human beings.

There has been much written about the man who has touched so many lives in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina and around the world. Many people would have written off the hopes of a young boy who began life in a poor Christian family in Kerala, India. But despite the overwhelming odds, this young boy committed himself to his goal of becoming a physician and at the age of 17 entered medical school in his home country of India.

The Founder, Dr. Lenny Peters has been a medical practitioner for over 25 years and believes in the health and wellness of others. Through his success in building Bethany Medical Center and Peters Medical Research, it is his goal to give back to the local Piedmont Triad community in North Carolina. Dr. Lenny Peters also has focused on giving back to his heritage in India. Thus the Jayamatha Orphanage of Kerala India was founded.

Dr. Lenny Peters endless drive and commitment to excellence has led to further successes in the 
establishment of Peters Enterprises Inc., a comprehensive investment real estate and management company, as well as the formation of the Bank of North Carolina, a publicly traded regional bank.

Dedicating  his  time,  finances,  energy  and talents to so many, it comes as no surprise that Dr. Lenny Peters received a humanitarian award. Dr. Lenny Peters, president and CEO of Bethany Medical Center, received this humanitarian award from Henry Schein Inc. for his philanthropic generosity for over 20 years.
